After the sun set I began my hike back to the village through the winding roads of Alpe Di Siusi, Europe’s largest high-alpine meadow. I wandered across the grassy fields and around these beautiful classic mountain huts, I had the entire place to myself under a star-filled sky ✨

My recent trip to Italy was a spur of the moment idea while I was working over in Germany. I logged into the @Aeroplan website and booked round-trip tickets to Venice then made the short two hour drive north to the Dolomites. Aeroplan and @AirCanada are giving away a total of 38.5 million miles and there’s only two weeks left to register to the grand prize contest by providing your Aeroplan number at aeroplan.com/35. All you have to do is earn or redeem miles with an Aeroplan partner (grand prize) or enter by sharing a photo of your picture-perfect trip (secondary prizes) #withaeroplan #partner

Moonset over the three peaks. My alarm went off at 2:30am, I was close to hitting snooze but after slowly coming around I hopped in my rental car and drove up the road to Tre Cime and began hiking. I had planned to shoot sunrise somewhere else but missed the turn in the trail and ended up here just as the moon was setting over the famous three peaks. [Shot at F/14 to get that crisp moonstar]

Two climbers I met along the trail in the Dolomites set off on their mission for the day after refuelling with coffee and a croissant at Rifugio Locatelli. I hiked by moonlight to capture sunrise along the trail and had no idea that I would be able to have coffee and breakfast at a Rifugio. It turned an amazing morning into an even better one! #calsnapecreate

With little daylight left I hiked as fast as I could to Kandelfelsen, the rock formation pictured here that gives one of the best views in the area. Just ten minutes later the cloud came down and took away any remaining light and the visibility dropped to below a meter, it was one of the most surreal and confusing experiences hiking back to the parking lot. #germanytourism @travelmindset #partner

I recently returned from an incredible week in the Italian Dolomites. I stayed away from social media and took time out to refine my craft, absorb the grandeur of the mountains here and enjoy Italian mountain culture. I’ve never felt so creatively refreshed and I came away with a large body of work I’m genuinely happy with, something I haven’t done in quite some time. I look forward to sharing more soon!

Towering Redwoods creak in a gentle warm afternoon breeze while birds chirp to one other. Finding this hidden gem along the south Australian coast was a beautiful surprise.

I’m not often intimidated by the weather, in fact as a photographer it’s one of my favourite things to photograph but this was one of those days where it was best to stay off the water, avoid exposed hiking trails and watch the beauty of the storm from a safe place. Ever found yourself in a hairy weather situation?

Tall tales and beautiful trails hiking through Germany’s Black Forest. I don’t tend to hike alone much but there was something so peaceful about exploring these trails on my own. #germanytourism @travelmindset

Tucked away in a little corner of British Columbia is this stunning lake and it’s wild surroundings. I’m grateful others saw the need to protect this special ecosystem and limit visitation so that it will be around for future generations, a method many places should consider for sustainable tourism.

Each year I treat myself to business class flights to a dream destination. For the past few years it’s been Japan and I’ve fallen in love with the country. I book all of my personal trips using @Aeroplan Miles and I’ve collected nearly a million in just a few years of flying with @aircanada and using Aeroplan-affiliated credit cards. It’s Aeroplan’s 35th anniversary and to celebrate Air Canada and Aeroplan are giving away 38.5 million miles to 45 people, all you have to do is register at aeroplan.com/35 and earn or redeem miles with an Aeroplan partner (grand prize) or enter by sharing a photo of your picture-perfect trip (secondary prizes) #withaeroplan #partner
